নিজস্ব সংবাদদাতা, বাংলা কাগজ : আওয়ামী লীগ সরকার দেশে যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থার ‘ব্যাপক নেটওয়ার্ক’ গড়ে তুলেছে বলেই দেশের অর্থনীতির চাকা সচল রয়েছে বলে মন্তব্য করেছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা।

রোববার (২২ নভেম্বর) গণভবন থেকে ভিডিও কনফারেন্সের মাধ্যমে বিভিন্ন জেলার তিনটি সেতু ও পাবনার বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা রফিকুল আলম বকুল স্বাধীনতা চত্বরের উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে তিনি এ কথা বলেন।

প্রধানমন্ত্রী ও বাংলাদেশ আওয়ামী লীগের সভাপতি শেখ হাসিনা রোববার (২২ নভেম্বর) গণভবন থেকে ভিডিও কনফারেন্সের মাধ্যমে পাবনায় বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা রফিকুল আলম বকুল স্বাধীনতা চত্বরের উদ্বোধন করেন- পিআইডি’র সৌজন্যে বাংলা কাগজ।

প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, ‘একটার পর একটা সেতু হওয়ায় যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থার উন্নয়ন হচ্ছে। বাংলাদেশ আওয়ামী লীগ সরকারে আসার পর সারা বাংলাদেশে যোগাযোগের একটা ব্যাপক নেটওয়ার্ক আমরা গড়ে তুলেছি, যার ফলে অর্থনীতির চাকা ব্যাপক সচল।’

প্রধানমন্ত্রী ও বাংলাদেশ আওয়ামী লীগের সভাপতি শেখ হাসিনা রোববার (২২ নভেম্বর) গণভবন থেকে ভিডিও কনফারেন্সের মাধ্যমে বিভিন্ন জেলার তিনটি সেতু উদ্বোধন করেন- পিআইডি’র সৌজন্যে বাংলা কাগজ।

২০০৯ সাল থেকে আওয়ামী লীগ ধারাবাহিকভাবে সরকারে আছে বলেই দেশের মানুষের উন্নতি হচ্ছে বলেও মন্তব্য করেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী।

প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন- আজকে দারিদ্র্যসীমা আমরা কমিয়ে আনতে পেরেছি। মাথাপিছু আয় আমরা বৃদ্ধি করেছি, মানুষের কর্মসংস্থান বৃদ্ধি করেছি। একেবারে গ্রাম পর্যন্ত যে মানুষের জীবনমান উন্নত করা যায়, সেটাও আমরা প্রমাণ করেছি। সেইসঙ্গে যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থার উন্নয়ন, মানুষের উৎপাদিত পণ্যের বাজারজাতকরণ এবং উৎপাদিত পণ্যের বিনিয়োগ যাতে বাইরে থেকে আসে, এর ব্যবস্থা করা… অর্থনীতির চাকাটা যাতে সব সময় সচল থাকে, সেভাবেই আমরা পরিকবল্পনাটা করে থাকি।’

এ অনুষ্ঠানে মাগুরা জেলার মহম্মদপুর উপজেলায় মধুমতি নদীর উপর ৬০০ দশমিক ৭০ মিটার দীর্ঘ এলাংখালী সেতু, নারায়ণগঞ্জ জেলার রূপগঞ্জ উপজেলার মুড়াপাড়া ফেরিঘাট রাস্তায় শীতলক্ষ্যা নদীর উপর ৫৭৬ দশমিক ২১৪ মিটার দীর্ঘ বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা গোলাম দস্তগীর গাজী (বীর প্রতীক) সেতু এবং যশোর জেলার অভয়নগর উপজেলায় যশোর-খুলনা সড়কে ভৈরব নদীর উপর ৭০২ দশমিক ৫৫ মিটার দীর্ঘ একটি সেতুর উদ্বোধন করেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী।

নতুন এই তিন সেতু আর্থ সামাজিক উন্নয়নে ভূমিকা রাখবে এবং আঞ্চলিক অর্থনৈতিক চাকা আরও সচল করবে বলেই আশা প্রকাশ করেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী।

তিনি বলেন, ‘বঙ্গবন্ধুর জন্মশতবার্ষিকী যেভাবে করার আয়োজন ছিলো, সেভাবে আমরা করতে পারি নাই। কারণ, এরই মাঝে করোনাভাইরাসের অক্রমণ.. শুধু বাংলাদেশ নয়, সারা বিশ্ব এর জন্য দুর্ভোগ পোহাচ্ছে।’

‘সেই করোনাভাইরাসের সময়ও আমরা চেষ্টা করেছি অর্থনীতির চাকাটা সচল রাখতে। এই ধরনের একটা অস্বাভাবিক পরিস্থিতিতে আমাদের যে উন্নয়ন কাজগুলো চলছে, সেজন্য সংশ্লিষ্ট সবাইকে আমি ধন্যবাদ জানাই।’

মুক্তিযুদ্ধে পাবনার রফিকুল ইসলাম বকুলের ভূমিকার কথাও অনুষ্ঠানে তুলে ধরেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী।
